Achieving Quality, Commitment and Competence in the Child Welfare Workforce

This webinar reviews the elements contributing to the national crisis in the child welfare workforce, and summarize empirically based solutions to the workforce problem identified in the literature and through research-based workforce projects. It focuses on the steps that appear to be necessary to assure sufficiency for a front-line workforce, emphasizing the multiple roles and expertise that MSW and BSW-level staff bring to agency practice. The pivotal role of supervision will be discussed as well as agency climate and culture. (2010)
