Toward a High Quality Child Welfare Workforce: Six Doable Steps

This paper describes a number of promising practices used across the country to improve the working conditions and quality of the child welfare workforce. It outlines six immediate, practical, and relatively low-cost steps for building a more effective child welfare workforce. Specific examples are used to illustrate each step and represent an emerging toolbox of creative and collaborative efforts.
