Advancing Southeast Asian/American Mental Health: A Critical Refugee Studies Lens in Care
HOSTED BY: MCTAC
Thoughtfully and meaningfully supporting Southeast Asian/American youth and families requires understanding the high levels of trauma that have impacted and continue to impact the community across generations. This workshop will provide a primer to the field of critical refugee studies as a way to assess the links between Southeast Asian/American mental health and U.S. militarism, migration laws, and racial capitalism. Attendees will also participate in interactive activities to practice applying clinical approaches using a critical refugee studies lens in their mental health practice. *MUST LOG IN TO REGISTER – FREE REGISTRATION
