One of the goals of the Grandfamilies & Kinship Support Network: A National Technical Assistance Center is to promote cross-system collaboration to improve services, supports, and outcomes for grandfamilies and kinship families. In our first Network webinar, Dr. Terry Cross will provide an overview of collaboration; what it is, why to collaborate, and how it can be successfully accomplished. He will provide an example of one collaboration model designed to link child welfare with substance abuse treatment services. We will explore what this example teaches us about successful collaboration and point out key concepts. Learn several building blocks for developing collaborative service approaches and discuss options for implementing, managing, and evaluating collaborative efforts.
