Developmental & Clinical Implications of the Sexual Minority “Closet”

During this webinar, presenters will define the “closet” and its potentially lasting mental health impacts. Using a developmental lens, presenters will discuss the early socialization experiences of sexual minority individuals, the costs of secrecy during this period, and the stressful and resilient adaptations that the closet might yield. The session will also present clinical implications for mental health providers. The presentation will conclude with questions from attendees.
