One of the reasons it can sometimes be challenging is working through the expectations prospective parents have of their chosen journey. Children in foster care also have a preconceived expectations of foster and adoptive parents. When these two worlds of expectations collide, it will take the patience of skilled professionals to help families and children live the reality of the journey of fostering and adoption.
