Making and Keeping Friends: An Introduction to the PEERS® Social Skills Program

This webinar is hosted by Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital at NYU

Friendships are a critical part of social-emotional well-being throughout development; however many children struggle with skills related to making and keeping friends. The PEERS® program is a research based social skills program originally developed by UCLA that has been created for preschoolers, adolescents, and young adults. A key element of this program is the inclusion of caregivers in the intervention. This webinar, designed for self-advocates, parents and providers, will describe the elements of the PEERS program, research related to program outcomes, and specific offerings provided by NYU Langone Health.
