“Managing Up”: Assuring You Have What You Need to be The Best Supervisor Possible!

This webinar is hosted by Community Technical Assistance Center (CTAC) and later the Managed Care Technical Assistant Center (MCTAC)

This session will present a brief overview of “managing-up” and why it is important to supervisors. Through small break-outs, supervisors will practice techniques to work within their organizations as “champions” of Youth Peer Advocacy and get all that’s needed to help the YPA grow and thrive. Supervisors will discuss ways to develop a strong relationship with their supervisor and how to use leadership skills to guide the team to deliver results that are timely and impressive. This session will focus on influencing those above you to manage effectively, so that you have what YOU and your YPA staff need to be successful. We’ll also touch on how supervisors can encourage the YPAs they work with to ‘manage-up’ themselves.
