Part 2: Best Practices in Youth Peer Advocacy: Supervising for Success

This webinar is hosted by Community Technical Assistance Center (CTAC) and later the Managed Care Technical Assistant Center (MCTAC)

We will explore why devoting enough time and consistency to supervision leads to greater staff satisfaction and success, increasing retention and improving youth outcomes. Small break-out groups will provide opportunities to practice skills.

Part 2 will focus on the importance of comprehensive onboarding and creating opportunities for advancement and professional growth. We will explore strategies to assure we make the time in our own busy schedules to adequately supervise and what to do when we have too many supervisees. We will also reinforce the importance of self-care for the supervisor and the YPA as well as identifying and addressing the signs of vicarious trauma, burn-out and compassion fatigue.
