Pregnant People and SUD’s: Best Court Practices to Ensure Both Parent Welfare and Child Welfare
This webinar is hosted by Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention
Opioid Use Disorder and other Substance Use Disorders (SUD) are chronic illnesses that are not cured, as a result, there are some people who are pregnant and are using substances. Some of these pregnant people with an OUD or SUD may become involved in the court system while they are still pregnant. This webinar will focus on understanding how the community and our courts see pregnant people who use substances, the needs of pregnant people who use substances, and how the court can address the stigma against pregnant people who have SUD. Webinar is open to NCJFCJ members.
