Preventing Youth Hate Crimes in Schools and Communities

This webinar is hosted by Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention

The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention’s National Training and Technical Assistance Center (OJJDP’s NTTAC), in conjunction with OJJDP, will host a web event titled Preventing Youth Hate Crimes in Schools and Communities.

This web event follows OJJDP’s 2-day national symposium to increase understanding and prevention of identity-based bullying and hate crimes as they impact our nation’s youth.

Presenters will explain what safe and affirming behaviors look like versus rejecting behaviors and how to instill in children an appreciation and respect for one another’s differences and help them develop empathy, conflict resolution and critical thinking skills.
