Each project provides unique, first-person insight into the impact that NCWWI initiatives and partnerships are having on workforce and child welfare practice across the country. Utilize our a Real Stories Tool Kit to bring together colleagues/staff, students, and/or community members for rich discussions about innovative workforce development initiatives.

PARTNERSHIPS AS A PATHWAY TO CHANGE

This Real Story explores the Connecticut Department of Children & Families' connection with the University of Connecticut’s School of Social Work and how the partnership strengthened their workforce. As told by the people who lived it, the partnership improved diversity in the workplace, strengthened social work curricula, and enhanced the relationships between the agency and school for improved placements and transition to work. Their partnership paved the way for a pathway to change and improved outcomes for children and families.
