Research has shown that purpose is linked to our well-being and that making a positive difference in the world correlates highly with psychological wellness, physical health, as well as longevity (Suite, 2016). For organizations, studies have indicated that happiness and job performance are correlated with enhanced engagement, employee wellness, and organizational productivity. Leaders have the tremendous responsibility to positively impact their employees by connecting them to the larger vision of the organization and ensuring that employees are given the opportunity to participate in realizing this vision (Dan, 2019).
