Through this webinar, the presenter will share with the audience her professional experience as a psychologist, educator, and therapist in providing services to the population of women with functional diversity. As well as the experience shared with the Coalition in Puerto Rico that deals with issues of domestic violence, gender violence and sexual assault. The presentation will be evidenced based and considering the presenters experience.

Learning Objectives:

Present the impact of violence on victims and survivors with functional diversity in Puerto Rico; as well as its repercussions at an emotional, physical, behavioral, and sexual level.
Bring participants' attention to the importance of understanding simple or complex trauma when offering services to victims / survivors of violence.
Present alternatives service strategies from a Trauma-Centered Approach.
