Addressing Disproportionality and Disparities in Child Welfare through Organizational Effectiveness Practice

“The purpose of this document is to present how APHSA’s Organizational Effectiveness Department proposes to work with agencies that are ready and willing to engage in these efforts and work towards equitable treatment and outcomes for their clients. Although inequitable outcomes may exist for many demographic groups within child welfare, our discussion regarding disproportionality and disparities in child welfare focuses on race because of the prevalence of data that indicates racial disproportionality and disparities in child
welfare outcomes.”
